Venezia Jazz Festival
Between July and August, one of the most significant festivals on the Italian scene, combines a comprehensive programme with the unique beauty of the locations themselves.
Hosted in a city where every event is transformed into a memorable experience, the programme plans a series of impressive concerts in St. Mark’s Square and at Teatro La Fenice, but also in unconventional places like major museums of the city (Palazzo Grassi, Punta della Dogana, Peggy Guggenheim Collection), in popular and evocative locations such as the Rialto Bridge and in many campi around the city.
The festival has hosted world-renowned artists (Bobby McFerrin, Paolo Conte, Norah Jones, Pat Metheny, Wynton Marsalis…) to wide acclaim: an extraordinary stage from which to experience the best of Italian and international jazz, but also a chance to discover emerging and new talent that performs, often with free entry, in the many festival locations.
